Kevin Ray Edwards

A precious son of mine was born!

Passed away on February 26, 2009 at the age of 38.

Kevin was born at 8:59 am. on a Thrusday. We were living in a trailer in Williamsburg,Va. I was only in labor 59 min.& almost didn't make it to the  hospital.He was in a hurry to come into this world.(If only he knew!) He was born in McDonald Army hospital on Ft.Eustis,Va. He was 9lb.3oz & 20 in. He  was a big boy! He was such a cute & good baby. His sister,Tammy, was 4 years old at the time.When he was 6 wks. old, his father got stationed to Ft. Belvoir,Va. So we packed up our trailer & moved it to Belvior trailer park in Woodbridge. Woodbridge was really small then & a nice quite place to live-NOT like today! We lived there from 1971 to 1972.Then his father & I separated & got a divorce a year later. I was his father's first wife & he continued getting married (I think 5 more times after me).When he divorced me, he divorced his kids. The majority of  the years of the children growing up, he only called or visited them when he was between wives.This affected them a lot,esp. Kevin!!! I tried to be their mother & father & work 2 & 3 jobs to take care of us. I only received $150.00 a month for the 2 kids for the first 10 years. Then I took him to court & got $300 a month.  He would NOT help with any other expenses. His answer to any requests for help was ,the child support covers everything!  If I would have had the help of their father maybe things would have been different. Kids need a "Dad",BUT he did NOT have one! Why do men do this to their children?????    (more to come later)
